MoTrack is a personal finance tracking app built for Zambia. It reads mobile money SMS notifications from Airtel Money and Zamtel to automatically track your transactions, spending patterns, and financial insights. Your privacy is the foundation this app is built on.
MoTrack requests permission to read SMS messages on your device. This access is used exclusively to detect and parse mobile money transaction notifications from Airtel Money and Zamtel — specifically amounts, dates, and recipient references.
All data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted local database. Nothing is transmitted to any external server, cloud service, or third party. MoTrack has no backend — no account, no remote login, no data sync.
We do not sell, share, rent, or transmit your data to any third party under any circumstances. Your financial data never leaves your device.
You can permanently delete all data at any time from within the app under Settings → Clear All Data. Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data.
READ_SMS — required to detect mobile money transaction notifications. This is the core functionality of the app. Without this permission the app cannot function.
MoTrack is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect data from minors.
